Energy Tip Details
  • Using fans and windows to keep your space at a comfortable temperature saves energy. Use fans during the summer to create a wind-chill effect that will make your space more comfortable.
  • Fans cool people, not rooms – turn them off in empty rooms. Remember, though, that the fan cools you off by the breeze passing by you – it doesn't do anything to cool the room itself. The best way to optimize energy savings energy is even simpler – just turn the fan off when you leave the room.
